The Vietnam War was a War between North Vietnam—supported by the Soviet Union, China and other communist allies—and the government of South Vietnam—supported by the United States and other anti-communist allies. The result was the victory of the North Vietnamese, the Communist governments take power in South Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, and South Vietnam was annexed with North Vietnam. Finally it was the south and the north into the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. It took place in South Vietnam, North Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos on 1 November 1955 to 30 April 1975 (19 years, 5 months, 4 weeks and 1 day).
